I Want Them All to Stay

I want them all to stay

Though winds may come and cause their shiver

Till sun doth spread and warm the air

The birds are left to find their own

Till we join in and show we care

Now, His eye is on the sparrow

And the jay and e'en the crow

But He is pleased when we assist

When the air is filled with snow

For feeding's not a part-time job

It's an everyday affair

To help our friends keep coming back

And give us joy to share

God gave us these beauteous birds

To lighten up our winter day,

Feeding them fills me with joy,

Because I want them all to stay.
