Feathered Friends : Cardinals and Such

I know folks who are convinced that the presence of a cardinal is the supernatural embodiment of a lost loved one, in essence they are the spirit of that lost one winging back into your life. I find their presence is special, but not in that sense. I sometimes think that God uses cardinals and other birds to lighten our hearts and remind us of someone special who is no longer in our lives. He also uses butterflies and flowers and all things naturally created by Him to ease our burdens. They lighten our grief and uplift our thoughts about someone dearly lost from our presence. But these things are temporary and we need to remember that He also provided a way for us to rejoin those dearly lost in this life. He has provided a re-connection for those who trust His word and believe in His son. Heaven awaits those who believe in Jesus and yes, I bet there are bunches of birds and flowers and such everywhere in heaven to remind us of His love for us and those who went before us. Enjoy His gifts today but count on more to come in your heavenly home.
